Lisa Luse, LCSW-C
Owner/Therapist
I am a native Washingtonian and licensed psychotherapist based in Bethesda, MD, specializing in eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, and family conflict. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices.
After earning my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania, I gained extensive clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, primarily working with individuals struggling with eating disorders and mood disorders. I have a particular passion for supporting young adults as they navigate the academic and social challenges of school and early adulthood, helping them build the foundation for healthy and fulfilling lives.
My work also emphasizes the importance of family involvement. I collaborate closely with parents and caregivers, empowering them to support their loved one’s growth and emotional well-being.
I am a founding member of the Baltimore/Metro Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and currently serve on the executive board of EveryMind, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mental wellness across communities.
In addition, I am a Board-Approved Supervisor in the state of Maryland and provide clinical supervision to early-career therapists, with a focus on eating disorders, anxiety, and family therapy.
